It's just a song. Yet it totally sets the mood of the ending. Anime, movies, drama will be nothing w/o the integration of music. Obtained
X/1999 the feature film and just finished watching it. Indeed, as Leonard mentioned during one of our D&D grp tok cok sessions, the way X-Japan's
Forever Love came up @ the end of the movie was just beautiful.
Mhmm... tbh, the TV series was a much better adaptation of the manga. Itz a shame that the last 5 chapters of the manga was not published. Yeah ~ itz pretty old, coz it was back during my secondary school days that I was reading it. I still have those 18 books on my shelf right now, and it's undisputedly my fave series to date - both the manga & the anime. Well... don't be fooled by the artwork. This is no simple shojo series. With the amount of violence and the depth of character development, I would certainly place this under seinen.
Speaking of anime, I wonder what happened to Blade of the Immortal. Stuck at ep. 13 ugh!
You win some, you lose some. Not an unfamiliar saying to most people. Question is - how true is that? Does absolutely everything in the world come with a price? Is there anything truly unconditional?
The episode of
xxxHolic that I just watched was pretty thought provoking. It was about a lady who intentionally takes certain actions to seemingly "avoid happiness". On the surface, her actions hint that she uncontrollably does things that she shouldn't be doing. However, digging deeper into them, it becomes apparent that all she does is take calculated actions to avoid "paying the price" for the good things that happen in her life.
As also mentioned in the episode, people have been taught that Life is all about balance. That if u gain something, u'll lose something as compensation.
I guess in a twisted way, it is kinda true. A person gets attached. He gains a companion. In exchange, he has to give up the freedom that comes with being single. A person gets a job. In exchange, he sacrifices the time for other activities. A person gets accepted into a prestigious university. In exchange, he'll have to take on all the pressures that come with it. The list goes on.
Mhmmm... I kinda remember Snowey mention that to me once before too - when I was getting pretty upset due to the Noblegarden event in WoW & lamenting about my lack of luck in Life. The rich people in the world. On the surface it does seem that they are happy, with more money they can spend. People who get lucky, suddenly becoming a millionaire. But outsiders will never know what kinda price they had to pay in exchange for that. /shrug. Guess maybe at times envy is misplaced, but itz just human nature isn't it - to envy that you don't own.
Anyhow, my eyes are gradually getting better. Apparently my corneas were slightly damaged due to the bout of conjunctivitis I had some time back. According to the specialist, they will auto-repair themselves but the process will take a couple of months. Guess am off contact lenses for quite sometime. Gotta return for a follow-up in June to determine if I can put them back on. Chances are I'll consider Lasik eventually. In the meantime, there's really nth much I can do except apply the lubricant as often as I remember and pray that they recover soon. When my eyes don't go fuzzy all that often, I better start looking for a job.
When I land one, guess it'll be my turn to pay the price that accompanies it.
